Welcome to the Inman-Rose Memorial & College Exposure Tournament
The Inman-Rose Memorial Tournament is the longest continually running tournament in Tennessee. It was started in 1977 in Columbia, TN where it has been held each year since its inception. The tournament was named for Anita Inman and Linda Rose who were pioneers in establishing girls fastpitch softball in our city.
The Inman-Rose Tournament has attracted teams from all ove the U.S. and Canada. In the mid-90s the tournament routinely fielded in excess of 80 teams with 102 being the highest total ever in 1994. The tournament is currently using Maury County Park as its headquarters with games also being played at Columbia Central High School, Columbia State Community College and Columbia Academy. The Columbia City Council held a ground breaking ceremony for the new Ridley Park complex in October 2009. The park is expected to open in September 2010. We expect to begin holding the Inman-Rose Tournament in Ridley Park in June 2011. The Inman-Rose Memorial Tournament is managed by a five -member board of Directors. They are:
Tournament Director - Glen Rose
Assistant Director - Jerry Bridenbaugh
College Rep - Johnny Littrell
High School Rep - Roger White
CGFP Rep - Gary Holman
In 2008 the Inman Rose took another step in its growth by adding the title "College Exposure" to the 16 and 18 year old divisions. We are very proud to be able to work with the area colleges and universities to provide a showcase for those players hoping to go on and play at the next level. The College Exposure divisions will be an important part of the tournament for many years to come.
